When the path is unclear, a short, focused research sprint is often cheaper than a wrong architectural decision. Our R&D staff are mainly PhDs and are used to reducing uncertainty quickly.
We evaluate technical alternatives, prototype rapidly, demonstrate proofs of concept to investors or the board, and document what we learned.
